Career Highlights:
Disability studies empowered me with disability discourse and motivates the advocate in me.
Doing counselling and tuition with students at their higher education had me witness a renewed spirit towards academia, amazing progress in their poor results and how their true potential was ignited.
It is rewarding when clients enter the therapy room with a downtrodded spirit and how they are uplifted after a relaxing, soothing aromatherapy massage.
How do you lead /advocate for disability inclusive practices:
I am always bringing awareness and educate family, friends, my community and in religious circles about disability issues, accessibility, full-participation/inclusion. Simirlarly, in public places such as shopping malls, restaurants and transport. When and wherever I encounter a challenge or barrier in society, I advocate for my rights and for people with disability in general; eg. at university, business places/banks, health care and recreation.
